"The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off." — Joe Klaas, Twelve Steps of Happiness
today marks another year around the sun, a perfect 07/07. i spent the afternoon scrolling pinterest on the PC and generally maintaining my angry air. never back down, never what?
there is a strange, quiet comfort in getting older, the world slows down just a little bit. i think this entire summer project is going to be about finding life in the mundane things... and something to do in the silence after GCSEs. lol
for the record, i am still in fact furious about prom.
maybe one day i'll tell y'all what happened.

"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." — Oscar Wilde
i think that humanity is built on naivety. you never realise the danger you're in until you taste blood, or in today's case, stare down a knife.
the age old concept of evil hiding is based on truth.
maybe blood IS thicker than water, but what do you do when it is your own blood that seeks to spill more?
in other words, i was in the belly of the beast once, but no more. now the beast faces me with a face of anger and disdain as i wear the face of its old mate. she cant stand me, but oh god how i have grown to loathe her. more and more each day as the sun rises and sets on this cramped house.
i filed a report.
that's better than nothing.
change is slow, and scary,
but needed.
Édouard Manet, 1881
